So i'm not sure if anybody cares, but i'll tell my opinion about golden boy.

I'm a huge otaku, so i watched lots of anime. When i saw golden boy and read it's description i thought what a great anime it could be. I also found out that there is a manga version, so i decided that if the anime is good, i'll also read the manga.

The anime was amazing, i really think that it's something that anybody would watch without complaints. I especially liked how they gave it a nice ending, and so i read the manga.

I got depressed by it. The first few chapters were just like the anime, but from the part where the story with the girl leaving the salary man, it became depressing(I'm sorry i always forget the names). It had a lot of fan service, but the plot was depressing. When that story-line ended with that chick going on a journey, things became better and it started to become more like the anime. Sadly, everything has to end someday, and the part with the "Golden Water" chick came up. It was kind of enjoyable, but when Kintaro got involved, it started getting worse (also i think the whole golden water thing is disgusting). It was still enjoyable, but when the backstory of Kintaro came up it got so depressing, even i got depressed. Also it didn't quite have an ending.

So in total:

Anime is short, and doesn't really have a plot, but it's really fun to watch and i really loved it. It had that easy going vibe, and it generally made me feel really good and it improved my mood. Everyone should watch it. It's worth it.

Manga is long, has a plot, but it's depressing. It has a lot of fan service(it has sex but it's not considered hentai), but i think that pretty much all that it has.

I think only people who have nerves of steel should watch it(people who cried on titanic, don't even try) and people who can/want to see hentai level fan service. Most importantly, be at least 16+(18+ would be even better) years old.
